1999 VW Jetta GLX VR6 Mk3 - Green - 5spd - 178k Mi. in Bogota, Illinois For Sale

Runs and drives perfectly. It's in excellent mechanical shape. Clean title.
Cosmetically is not the greatest. Has some clear coat peel on hood and roof, some rust inside fuel filler door. Has chips and scratches in various places. None of the rust shows except for two very small chips.
Will start up and drive anywhere. Fun and easy to drive. Safe and fuel efficient. Top trim level; has heated leather, heat/AC work well, power windows and sunroof, GTI suspension-wheels-brakes, ABS, fog lights, CD player, rear spoiler, alarm system, dual front airbags, etc.

This car is fairly rare; I have never seen one just like it in the 3.5 years I've owned it. I still get compliments on how it looks even after it started having clear coat issues. I've waxed this car twice a year and washed it often. I've been keeping up with the wax more lately since the clear coat started fading. I've loved this car and I hate to sell it, but I cannot afford to keep 2 cars and I'm moving on to a bigger car.
I'm asking $xxxx, but I'm open to offers. I can also provide a list of everything I have replaced during the time I owned it. I find myself constantly replacing things that are not broken just to make them newer so I have spent way too much (unnecessarily) on this car over the years. I cannot emphasize how excellent of mechanical condition it is in. Don't let the miles and the body fool you, you will NOT find another Mk3 Jetta in better shape for less than $7k. I would expect $5k if not for the cosmetics.
